Representative Assignments
-
Groundbreaking Multimedia – Served as head
writer on the creative team that developed Critical Thinking, winner
of a Gold Invision Award for Electronic Books. This highly
interactive CD-ROM, developed in partnership with Lucent
Technologies and the AT&T School of Business, uses games, exercises,
fables, and numerous examples to guide users through four critical
thinking skill areas: focus, analyze, ideate, and evaluate. Users
learn how the latest findings in cognitive psychology can be put to
work in everyday life, helping people think more effectively both on
and off the job.
-
Strategic Web Content – Writer and editor
of Web content creation and navigation design in support of a major
branding initiative at Motorola. The iSolutions site positions a
vast array of services, products, and technologies in a way that
highlights Motorola’s unique expertise in wireless communication and
its ability to offer complete, fully-integrated solutions that might
include everything from radio rentals and RF interference mitigation
to FCC licensing and business process reengineering. The site,
developed in partnership with True Interactive (graphics and
programming), is targeted at consumers and Motorola’s own sales
professionals.
-
Web-based Sales Training – Writer and
editor on a team that developed sales tools and account planning
methodologies for one of the world’s leading software companies. The
site and associated classroom workshops received a second place
award for corporate learning from the United States Distance
Learning Association.
-
Comprehensive Self-Paced Training for Telecomm Salespeople
– Edited a suite of courses empowering an RBOC’s entire mid-sized
business sales force to sell a large and varied product line in an
ever more competitive marketplace. These courses go beyond product
descriptions and feature/benefit lists to address the fundamental
business issues and trends driving customer decisions.
-
Interactive Product Training – Lead editor
for development of a series of CD-ROMs for the sales force at a
leading high-tech manufacturer. In this innovative training,
simulated customer questions lead participants into a Knowledge Book
where they learn about the architecture, applications, competitive
markets, benefits, and business impact of complex products such as
PBX systems, voice mail, and Computer Telephony Integration. Video
“experts” offer additional insights about the product from a sales
perspective. The training not only teaches basic information about
the product, it also gives participants practice at finding
information, extracting relevant knowledge, and restating it in
their own words for a particular customer. Each CD-ROM replaces a
multiday class. A CD-ROM in this series won a Bronze Invision Award.
-
Games for Learning – Wrote several key
components of a highly interactive CD-ROM game developed in
partnership with a major telecommunications company. Titled The
Information Superhigh-way: Envisioneering with Technologies, this
program guides nontechnical personnel to a clearer view of the
opportunities presented by new technology. This CD has received four
bronze CINDY awards and other industry honors. Lisa’s contributions
include the “information agent” containing more than 130 explanatory
entries that support the users’ solution-building exercises.

case studies, role-play scripts, and other classroom exercise
materials for literally dozens of courses for Fortune 1000
corporations.
